THE CLUBHOUSE
Perched on the corner of Princes Street and Kitchener Street, the intricate Italianate-style quarry stone building sits as a vision of history amongst an evolving modern cityscape. The now Clubhouse, designed by architect James Wrigley, was built to be home to Auckland's finest hotel, The Woods Royal Hotel, and was the city's largest building at the time.
Now cloaked in Virginia Creeper, the Northern Club's home was purchased in 1869 by its 120 founding members. With the expertise of architect Edward Mahoney, the building was transformed from a hotel to a Clubhouse; and so the Northern Club was born.

DINING
The Club features a range of dining rooms and bars; the formal Members' Dining Room, the relaxed Bistro, contemporary style Bankside Bar & Lounge and the golden Ivy Bar.
Members and their guests will experience an exquisite à la carte menu and an award-winning wine list. Our Chefs regularly refresh the á la carte and tapas menu to suit the seasonal produce, and our knowledgeable Sommelier will take you through the extensive wine list, recommending the best bottle to accompany your meal.

The Club calendar is full of exciting and exclusive opportunities; Business Breakfasts with top CEOs, long lunches with luxury Champagne tastings, family fun days and showstopping extravaganzas. And that is just the beginning...
The Club also arranges pre-sale access to premium tickets for members to attend Auckland’s biggest concerts and events. Packaged with pre-event hospitality and transport, Members get access to the likes of All Blacks test matches, concerts at Spark Arena and nights out at the theatre.
